Assistant to General Manager



French speaking Assistant to the General Manager of a global engineering and production company required for a facility in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. The position is initially offered as a one year contract but this could be extended or made permanent depending on compatibility. French speaking is an absolute necessity as the company has a subsidiary operation in Bordeaux and this newly appointed Assistant Manager will be required to work closely with the French operation with visits to the French plant necessary on occasions. A very solid engineering background in a hands on environment is also a prerequisite. The role will encompass many aspects of the operation and may encompass procurement, supply chain, engineering and maintenance management or, indeed any other aspect of the busy operation. This will be a very “hands-on” and “Can do” type of role as you seek to remove many tasks from the General Manager as he strives to manage the French operation which is staffed entirely by French speakers with no English capabilities. An interesting and challenging role for someone. Salary will be commensurate with experience and capabilities
